The Bodyrock Host, Lisa Marie, had it right. You’re my partner. All of you out there!!! It’s 9:30 PM, and I’m done working out thanks to you!!! It’s on Day 2!!! See you tomorrow!!!
Exercising is not something that comes naturally to me. There are many days I’d rather sit on the couch than go for a jog or eat a big, greasy hamburger than some lean turkey. School always came naturally to me, and although it wasn’t easy to earn my Ph.D., I finished the degree just this last month. Learning is just something for which I always could find the motivation. Not so with leading a fit lifestyle. However, I need a new goal in my life. The comments on this page are things I’ve learned from doing research. I am NOT a nutritionist, personal trainer, or certified in any way, shape, or form when it comes to nutrition/exercise; however, I hope my results will help others reach for their goals too 🙂
Therefore, I am going to try to use this blog as motivation for myself to kick it up a notch. It’s a way of gaining some public accountability to make positive changes in my lifestyle. My new goal is going to enter an NPC Bikini Contest. I know it’s lofty, and I’m not thinking that I will earn my pro-card or anything. But you never know! This year looks as if the majority of the remaining Florida contests will take place in North or South Florida, so the goal will probably be to compete in March or April 2015.
I’ll be sharing my workout schedules and recipes as well as the resources I find that help me along the way. I also have mini-goals I’ll be training toward as I go for the ultimate goal of walking across a stage in a bikini, which is totally outside of my character! The first mini-goal is a 10K I will be running in on November 2nd–the Xterra Wildhorse. Check out http://www.runwildhorse.com/ if you want to join me!
So, after having a bit of a cheat weekend where I had a night out with the hubby while Thomas was with Grandma, as well as college football and the NFL in full swing, I’m weighing in at 140 lb. The goal will be to tone and tighten, which I assume will result in some weight lose. Here are some pics I took, so I’ll have a pre-program baseline.
